"Was Ms. Crites a speech writer for President Carter?" User Submitted Research
	Ms. Crites likes telling people that she used to write speeches for President Jimmy Carter.  I have spent weeks searching the internet for any relation between Ms. Crites and President Carter's speech writing team.   I started sending around emails asking if anyone had any recollection of Ms. Crites being associated with President Carter.  I received a response from a man who still works for a government agency.  This man has been identified as a member of Jimmy Carter's speech writing team said, and I quote: "There WAS a woman named Ann Crites working in the Carter White House, and she was from W. Virginia, but all she did was send out Christmas cards and stuff, a G-S 9." the source went on to say: "Early in the administration there was a speechwriter named Susan Battles." In the 8 months that I was associated with Susan and the WV Society of Ghost Hunters, I had never heard this last name mentioned.  I also interviewed 3/4 of the members who had been with Susan for 2 years or more and none of them remember hearing the last name of Battles used. Maybe Ms. Crites can offer up some proof that truly was a speech writer for President Carter.
