More Lies Exposed
The Truth Behind an Eternally Expanding Web of Deceit
January 17, 2006

It appears as if the word truth is a foreign word when it comes to the leader of the WVSGH.  We have received
several tips that Susan has been telling everyone that she forcibly removed Mr. William Astle from the West
Virginia Society of Ghost Hunters.  As these emails will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that is just simply
not the case.  The truth is Mr. Astle, after working his way up through the ranks of the WVSGH, began to
respectfully question Susan on many different things such as her outlandish behavior, odd methods, and
unverifiable "spirit" conclusions.  The lack of answers that Ms. Crites chose to provide Mr. Astle led to his
resignation from the group.  That is the plain and simple truth.  After his resignation there were some
unfounded and spiteful statements, which Susan is famous for, made about Mr. Astle which led him down the
same path our group found ourselves on.    Mr. Astle has been one of our strongest supporters during our
fight for the good name of the West Virginia Ghost Hunters, LLC. There is no way we will allow these malicious
and vindictive lies to be spread against an innocent man whose only crime is to stand up against an
unscrupulous and unbelievably arrogant individual. Even a dog learns to stay away from the fire because it is
hot, but it seems that you just repeatedly dive right in to be burned over and over again.  You will gain nothing
from telling lies, and those same lies will only lead to more questions that you are unable to answer!

Susan,

As you have stated to others you can't hold people accountable for conversations outside of the society.  I
find it highly suspect that I hear about XXXX and XXX picture from you and Lisa S. almost within minutes of
each other.  I have never heard this story before and now I hear about it from two people within minutes?

Gettysburg is over and done with.  You yourself even laughingly teased me about my comments and carrying
on several times after the fact. Don't back track now and call that behavior inappropriate.

And yes I will call you out on issues when you are wrong. Here are some examples:

1) You told XXXX that I declined being on the board because of Felicia.  This was a flat out lie.  I declined
being on the board because the board is hand picked by you and you yourself said that the board is not a
board and is just an "advisory committee".  I have advised Joann the real reason that I turned down the
board.

2) The most recent visit to the low water crossing should have been called off in the parking lot of the post
office. There was lightning in the area and it was unsafe to continue.  For whatever reason you broke your
own rule even though there were people in the group who objected to your continuing the hunt.  In fact when
we parked, pictures were taken in the rain, lightning and fog which would totally invalidate any pictures that
were taken and you even promoted these pictures and made one the photo of the week. Your photo of the
week was taken in a pouring rain. Do the right thing and remove the photo of the week.

3) I refuse to throw anyone under the bus but you know that you are telling people what they want to hear and
then turning around and telling others the exact opposite. This was very disappointing to me, you are not the
same person you were when I joined in October.

It has becoming blazingly clear that my ideas, thoughts, opinions and perceptions no longer mesh with the
West Virginia Society of Ghost Hunters.  Having said that my only real option at this point is to resign from the
society.  Please remove all of my name, likeness and any photographs from the website and yahoo group. My
resignation in no way commits or implies that my mother or Felicia are leaving the Society. I will leave that
decision to them.

I will return the decible meter to you somehow.  I may have to give it to someone who is still going to attend
your investigations.

HI

Still running that high fever alternating with periods of shaking..ugh. Let's hope this makes sense.

My goal with Sr. Investigators is to have them ghost hunting for six months...hence the 26 hunts.  In six
months they should run into most kinds of energy and strangeness that happens.  I discovered early on that
people who have a real interest last that long.  Others fall by the wayside. Those who stay develop the ability
to reason about and handle the energy.  The problem has developed that the class of Senior Investigators
and those who did the 26 hunts are not trained in the same way.  Your class is better trained  but the others
feel they have more experience. That's a source of resentment.

We do this on the honor system.  Almost everyone gets a big jump start with several hunts during October.
Folks let me know when they have completed 26.  For "out-of-state & long travel" folks, people can ghost hunt
in their own areas then let me know the results, send photos etc. Pip, for example, hunted Manassas
battlefield many times. got credit for that. XXXXX & XXXXX have done this kind of hunting in Anne Arundel
County and that general part of MD and have done work for me on exploring sites in their area for future
group hunts.  Point Lookout and the Navy lighthouse are two examples.

We keep records of everyone who attends every hunt etc.  In all the years of our existence, no one has ever
lied about their experience.  Most forget how many they have been on.  About once a month or so, we check
who is where with their number of ghost hunts but we don't do it every month.  And, with members from so
many places, it is only reasonable to make accommodations.

You and I don't look at things the same way.  We are very different people, different ages, different levels of
experience in the group.  So, we look at the members of the Ghost Group differently.

You have, for example, been a recent defender of XXXXXXXXX.  Of all the people in our group, those two have
the least credibility with me.  Once upon a time they presented a really great photo of the supernatural as a
photo they captured "while ghost hunting with friends."  It was marvelous, I congratulated them and posted the
photo as Photo of the Week. I had them bring the photo to Ghost Hunts several times and asked them to
show everyone.  Quite by accident and much later, a group of young men from Winchester came to a ghost
hunt and showed me a photo one of them took in Winchester. It was the same photo XXXXXX  had shown me
as their own.  I told the young men point blank that XXXXXXXX said they took the photo. All three young men
looked puzzled and said that it was not. They Ghost Hunted with XXXXXX but the photo wasn't theirs.  I asked
XXXX and she blew it off saying she had, "bought the rights" to the photo.  Buying the rights, if she really did
that, is a lot different than representing it as your own.  It was outrageous and I haven't trusted them since.
Others in our group know this story, were there when the Winchester guys showed the photo.  After the bell
incident several have said to me something like, "XXXXXX should never opened their mouths about fraud..."
It brings back the memory of theirs.

In the end, to be part of a group like this one, we all need to be flexible, understand that people are doing the
best they can and focus on the wonder of Ghost Hunting.  No one put the Gettysburg "camp fire crowd" to the
torch over their behavior..which was truly inappropriate.  No one has castigated you over you various clashes
with people in the group. Even I haven't reacted strongly over your weekly emails calling my integrity into
question.  People have given you some slack and some understanding.  Time for you to give back.
