The 2007 Mid-Atlantic Paranormal Conference, formerly known as the West Virginia Ghost Hunters Annual Conference,
was held in Moundsville, WV at
Moundsville Penitentiary.  The festivities commenced at 12am on Friday night with an all
night investigation / ghost hunt of the former prison.  The Friday night group had the rare chance to investigate the
prison in a relatively small group of only about 25 - 30.  On Saturday we gathered at noon in the courtyard of the prison
for a cookout and heard presentations by Brendan Skeen (Founder/Director WVGH), Jeff Belanger (Author and Creator
of Ghostvillage.com), Vince Wilson (Founder of B.S.P.R. and author of Ghost Tech and Ghost Science), and  the hosts
of Ghostly Talk Radio, Doug and Scott L.  Then at midnight we once again met at the gates of the former West Virginia
State Penitentiary for another exciting all night investigation / ghost hunt .  We had a great group this year and we  want
to thank everyone who participated and made this the best Mid Atlantic Paranormal Conference / West Virginia Ghost
Hunters' Conference ever.  A special thanks go out to J
eff Belanger,  Vince Wilson, and  the whole crew from Ghostly
Talk Radio for helping to make the 2007 Mid Atlantic Paranormal Conference such an overwhelming success.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, Scott L. became interested in the paranormal as a
young child when he bought his first book 'Haunted Houses' by Larry Kettelkamp at a garage sale
for $.25. Intrigued and frightened by this book, Scott L. developed an adolescent interest in the
paranormal that rooted itself firmly into the little boys mind through the present day: "For a
while, with college going on and being a professional musician, I didn't have time to really pursue
the paranormal field as extensively as I wanted to." It was when Scott L graduated from
Wayne State University with a major in Operational Logistics and minor in Information Systems
Development that he now had the time to pursue his passion. How did he get into radio though?
'Honestly, I have wanted to do radio for a very long time. I had some downtime from playing music
about 5 years ago, and it was a something that went through my mind a lot. Unfortunately, I had
no contacts at the time to break in and try to pursue it. When I met Doug after doing a lot of
ghosthunting and talking about the paranormal, he asked if I wanted to try to do an internet talk
show on the subject(s), I jumped at the opportunity.' In addition to being one of the creators of
Ghostly Talk, Scott L. is the webmaster/caretaker for the now defunct speed metal band Holy
Terror.
Doug (aka "Skizz") has been interested in paranormal topics ever since checking out a book
about witchcraft from his elementary school library.  He has read many books about paranormal
subjects, with his favorite topics being out of body experiences, Edgar Cayce, ESP, prophesy,
and ghosts. While surfing the internet in 2001, he was happy to learn that other folks actually
went prowling about cemeteries and haunted places looking for ghosts. Since then, he has been
an avid ghost hunter. Doug had done terrestrial radio before at WTWR, the station at the
University of Detroit. He received his Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences and Information
Systems from the University of Detroit. Upon meeting Scott L on ghost hunts, Doug suggested
doing an internet talk show about ghost hunting. The premier of Ghostly Talk in February 2002
streamed to a total listening audience of one (1) computer, though two (2) people were listening.
Doug continues to ghost hunt and co-host Ghostly Talk from Fraser, Michigan, a suburb of
Detroit.
Vince has always been interested in science, history and the unexplained since as far back as he
can remember. Lingering around in the back of his mind for over a year he was inspired to finally
create a group of paranormal investigators with an invested interest in serious research into the
paranormal. The inspiration came from his long time friend from high school, Renée Hamer
(Colianni). Together they founded the Baltimore Society for Paranormal Research. Vince has
lectured on ghost hunting technology and is listed as an adviser in the latest edition of Troy
Taylor's Ghost Hunters Guidebook and Ed Okonowicz's Baltimore Ghosts. He also has written for
Ghost Magazine. He's written for many paranormal Web sites and print publications, such as
Ghost! Magazine  and is the author of:

"Vince is perhaps the foremost expert on the technology of ghost hunting in the US" -
Wired Magazine December 2006
Jeff Belanger leads a very haunted life. He’s been fascinated with the supernatural since age ten

supernatural. The site has since grown to become the largest paranormal community on the Web,
attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors per year. Over the years, Jeff has interviewed
hundreds of people about their experiences with the profound. His objective approach to the
subject makes the supernatural accessible to a wide audience. He brings personality and humor
to this subject which makes him one of the most sought-after experts in the field. He's written for
